Everything seems so passe
The sun shined too bright today
So I made smokey clouds to fit my mood
Under stable skies unstable I stood
I'm not as young as I was yesterday
And tomorrow will come to steal today
Convenient shades, hips to sway
Life moves on, come what may
Grievous thought, some die too young
With words on their lips and life in their lungs
The angels will listen without a sound
To the sad stories and sad, sad songs
Seasons will come and seasons will go
To accomodate the rivers that continue to flow
By the waters edge there still we'll breathe
The breath of life that some day will cease
All good things must come to an end
But life only ends to begin again

So dance with me, dance while we're young
Move your feet we don't have long
Enlighten me with your words and touch
Give me somewhere to belong
